Day 7 – Visit to the University of Ohrid and Lectures

On the seventh day of President Ivanov’s School for Young Leaders, the participants visited the University of Ohrid where they followed a lecture and then continued with the program in Hotel Inex Olgica in Ohrd.

The seventh day of the School started with a visit of the participants to the University of Information Sciences and Technologies “St. Apostle Paul” in Ohrid.
Professor Anis Sefidanis, who is also a lecturer at the School, together with the Dean of the University, Prof. Dr. Goran Šibakovski were our excellent hosts.
During the visit to the participants of the School for Young Leaders and the students of the University of Information Sciences and Technologies “St. Paul the Apostle”, followed a lecture held by Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Founding Director of the new Library of Alexandria, Vice President of the World Bank 1993-2000; Patron of the International Science Council (ISC); Co-Chair of Nizami Ganjavi International Center, on the topic “The Legacy of Alexander the Macedon”.

Today the participants of the School for Young Leaders had also the opportunity to follow the lectures by two professors from the University of Texas – Tyler in the USA, Prof. Dr. Colin Snyder, Assistant Professor of Latin American History, and Prof. Dr. Thomas Guderian, Professor of Anthropology.
With their lectures, professors Snider and Guderian managed to arouse great interest among the participants of the School, they were asked more questions from their scientific fields.
The School for Young Leaders of President Ivanov has a truly rare opportunity with the University of Texas – Tyler in the USA, through the signing of the memorandum of cooperation, to build the capacities of the current and all future generations of the School in partnership.
